Internship Program Summary

Welcome to the Jetset World Travel Internship Program! This rotational program offers undergraduate students from all walks of life a unique opportunity to step into the world of luxury travel. 

 

As a remote, paid intern, you’ll have the chance to explore a variety of roles within the luxury travel industry, from marketing to finance, and operations. Worried about your major? Don’t be. We’re more interested in your passion and drive to make a difference. If you’re eager to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and contribute to a more inclusive future in the travel industry, we want to hear from you!

 

Responsibilities Include

As a Intern at Jetset World Travel, you will have the opportunity to:

– Collaborate: As a rotational internship, you will have the ability to work closely with each department. 

– Learn: Gain practical experience and skills in various aspects of the luxury travel industry.

– Contribute: Bring fresh perspectives and ideas to help us better serve our diverse clientele.

 

We are currently searching for interns to participate in our rotational program by supporting our various departments, including finance, marketing, hosting/supplier relations, and operations. 

 

Some examples of responsibilities and projects the intern will assist with below:

 

Travel Advisor Department:

  • Shadow and work as a travel advisor/ coordinator by learning day-to-day tools, processes, and procedures. 
  • Assist with trip planning and organization. 

 

Hosting/Supplier Department:

  • Contact Suppliers for Training 
  • Schedule the weekly meetings filling the open spots from suggestions from me 
  • Go through the group board to put together recommendations in the last 6-8 months to have in one spot 

 

Marketing Department:

  • Website Management: conduct an audit of the website for necessary updates and fixes.
  • Web & Social Media: audit social media accounts and online presence to enhance appearance.
  • Media & Press: construct new and edit current media invitation lists for events.

 

Finance Department:

  • Research: support team with research and update records.
  • Data Analysis: track data for use in factsheets and reports.

 

 Operations Department:

  • HR: create guides for onboarding/training new staff.
  • Office Coordination: support organizational move to digital.
  • Office Operations: support inventory management and recommend office enhancements.

The Process

  1. First Interview: After screening all applicants, we will select candidates for a 30-minute Zoom call. 
  2. Second Interview: Selected Round 1 candidates move forward to Round 2 of our interview process. Those candidates will be invited to interview with members of our leadership team. 
  3. Offer extended.

  1. What are the hours (full or part-time) and the duration?
    1. This is a part-time rotational internship from June 10-Aug 8. The schedule will be 3 days a week, 9-5 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 
  2. Are internships with the Jetset World Travel Paid?
    1. Yes – Jetset World Travel provides hourly compensation for interns.
  3. Can I use this internship for course credit?
    1. Please consult with your school advisors to determine if this internship opportunity is eligible for course credit. 
  4. When is the deadline to apply?
    1. The deadline is May 3rd. 
  5. What technology is needed to participate in an internship?
    1. Use of a personal computer and stable wifi.
