2022 is the year to bring the whole family together! It’s time to plan that family reunion. “I’ve seen more multi-gen requests than ever as families want to gather and travel together now that they’re able to again,” said travel advisor Caroline Sprunger. It’s been far too long since many were able to get together with extended family and travelers are really grateful for the opportunity to plan a quality vacation with everyone.
Spring break is a great time for travel! “Families for spring break are starting to look at Europe or for new experiences over your typical Mexico/DR/Jamaica,” travel advisor Olivia Vasquez said. “Families want to either see a new Caribbean island or just go bigger for spring break this year.” What does it mean to go bigger? Olivia shared a recent itinerary she’s been working on for a getaway to Sri Lanka, a hidden gem for adventure travelers.
Time for a proper vacation
“I’m seeing a lot of requests for longer trips, two-week minimums,” said Olivia. We love our weekend escapes, but it’s time for a proper vacation. Travelers want to indulge in the cultures, find new experiences, and get the most out of their time in new destinations. A mindful reset for the avid traveler requires a break from everyday repetition. Adventure is the only answer! Imagine island hopping through the Caribbean or experiencing the wild safaris of Africa. No more hoarding those PTO’s!

“I still see the domestic travel trend that 2020 brought us hanging around a little longer,” said Bailie White of Be the Travel, affiliate of Jetset World Travel. “Whether that is due to the fact that people feel a little safer traveling within the United States, or they don’t feel comfortable with all of the travel restrictions for exiting and returning to the United States, we’re definitely experiencing an increased client interest for domestic travel for 2022 bookings. Personally, I love it! One of my favorite things to do the past couple of years has been to broaden my experience in booking travel right here in America.”
